Mini-Shrine to John Lamp

So you found this page, eh? You must have been looking for a shrine to Buddha and made a wrong turn.

John Lamp

History Recap

When I started the 250cc Bike List it was purely a text file that I kept updating and posting to Usenet, mostly aus.motorcycles. I had little other resources. John Lamp very kindly offered to host the list as a web page, now long defunct, but he moved the content into HTML and the opportunity for making the information I'd gathered available went to the next step. He hosted the web page for me for a number of years until eventually I had the time and opportunity to convert the list to a database and migrate it gradually to what it is *today.

I extend a very big thank you to John for helping me keep the list alive. I don't have any money, but I do have a long memory for gratitude.

Booyakasha and Respect!

Disclaimer

John and I haven't worked together on this site for some years and he can take none of the blame for any eccentricities found here. I created this page purely as a way of acknowledging John's altruism towards making this information more readily available. To my knowledge John has also never developed weapons of mass destruction. John would probably be quite embarrassed to discover this page. :-)

* Well, if you think it isn't so hot right now, just check some of the Internet archivers and you'll see what I mean. Green and purple? what was I thinking?
